2 ripe pears
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp brown sugar
Halve and core pears. Put pears in a microwaveable baking dish.
Place ½ tbsp brown sugar and ½ tbsp butter in each pear half.
Cover the dish and microwave 4 to 6½ minutes. Let stand 2 minutes before serving.
Add a few of these ingredients to the pears before baking for extra flavor: chopped
walnuts or other nuts, lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, oats, dried cranberries.
