Visitors

Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital recognizes that family and friends are an essential part of the healing process; therefore, we have an open visitation policy, allowing visitors 24-hours a day. We encourage visitors to spend as much time in the room with your loved one as you deem beneficial, including overnight stays. To respect the individual needs of all patients, a hospital-wide quiet time begins at 8 pm.

On each floor, family retreats are available for family members to sit, reflect and relax while not at the bedside of their loved one. These retreats were specially designed with family in mind and are semi-private meaning that only those people with access to patient rooms will have access to this retreat. Each retreat has a television, refrigerator, coffee machine, lounge chairs and sink.

Children under 14 years of age visiting a patient care area must be continuously supervised by an adult.

When visiting your loved one, please keep in mind that handwashing is the best way to protect yourself and others from infection. You will notice handwashing stations and alcohol hand rub dispensers throughout the hospital for everyone to use. Please wash your hands before you touch the patient and each to time you re-enter the patient's room.

Welcome Center

At each entrance to IU Health Arnett, you will find a welcome center. The guest relations associates or volunteers at the welcome center offer a wealth of knowledge and can answer most questions about the hospital. From here you can also pick up information about hospital services including a visitor's guide. In addition, the guest relations associates at the welcome center can gather wheelchairs for visitors or address concerns, complaints or compliments that a guest may have. You can reach the welcome center at 765.838.5919.
