Medical Student Education

IU Health Arnett began providing medical student education in 2009. Each year, the program has grown to include students in all years of medical school as well as a few family medicine residents as part of a program with IU School of Medicine, Riggs Community Health Center and Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health. Medical students at IU Health Arnett have the opportunity to work in over 20 departments with over 40 physicians, as well as have opportunities for research.

To improve healthcare at IU Health Arnett by advancing the quality of medical student and physician education through collaboration with IU School of Medicine and its curriculum priorities.

Through exemplary education, our vision for IU Health Arnett is to:
Become the first choice for medical students, interns and residents
Provide seamless services for patients of the northwest Indiana
Maintain a unified effort in providing high quality patient-focused and improvement-oriented services to our community.
