Preparation for Childbirth

Description	This four-week series prepares you to be more involved in the birth process. It draws concepts from various childbirth methods in covering: Changes of late pregnancy and ways to decrease discomforts of the last few weeks What to expect as labor begins How labor and birth progresses and tips of reach stage Additional pain control options available Information on Cesarean birth Recovery following childbirth Newborn care Tour of Birthing Center Classes begin on the first Monday or Wednesday evening of month, unless there is a holiday or otherwise noted. Plan to complete this series two to three weeks prior to your due date. Make sure you have entered your name, street and/or email address so you will receive a letter with directions approximately one week prior to the class.
