How We Can Help
Sleeve Gastrectomy Treatment Information
Our physicians collaborate with you and your other doctors and counselors to ensure that you are ready to handle the drastic lifestyle changes required after surgery. We work with you to achieve your weight loss goals.
- Seminars. We offer free monthly seminars to educate you about sleeve gastrectomy surgery. Some of our locations also offer online seminars and individual sessions if needed. These workshops include talks from a bariatric surgeon. The pre- and post-operation process is described.
- Bariatric support groups. Monthly support groups let you meet with and learn from other patients after your surgery. We also encourage you to attend support groups before your surgery. Some of our locations also offer online support groups.
- Nutrition. A registered dietitian recommends proper calorie, vitamin and mineral intake for you to lose weight and stay healthy. We recommend menus that are low in carbohydrates and high in protein.
- Fitness. You will receive recommendations about staying active. Exercising is a key part of your post-surgery regimen. It helps you lose weight and keep the weight off.
