Diabetes & Endocrinology

At Indiana University Health Blackford Hospital, we offer individualized education for diabetes and lipid disorders. A certified dietitian and a diabetes educator who is a registered nurse will work with you to provide personalized dietary guidelines for ongoing management of chronic diseases.

Our dietitian provides nutritional consultations to individuals of any age. The diabetes educator provides individualized education to teens and older individuals, and facilitates a monthly Diabetes Support Group, which is open to anyone interested.

All patients require a referral from their primary care physician.

Working with physicians and nurse practitioners, dietitians and diabetes educators provide comprehensive care including medicine management, education and treatment. We work with you to manage and monitor your condition to ensure your treatment plan continues to be effective.

Through our partnership with the Indiana University School of Medicine, our patients benefit from ongoing research to stay at the forefront of medicine.
