Garden on the Go® to Benefit from Whole Foods Market®

WHAT:

Whole Foods Market has a history of establishing a deep commitment to each of the communities it serves. As part of that commitment, Whole Foods Market holds quarterly Community Support Days, in which five percent of a day’s sales are donated to a local nonprofit organization. Whole Foods Market stores in Indiana will honor that commitment by donating 5 percent of one day’s sales to Garden on the Go®.

Garden on the Go® is Indiana University Health’s year-round mobile produce delivery program providing fresh, affordable fruits and vegetables to the public at three to four stops per day, five days a week to 22 neighborhoods throughout Marion County, where residents lack access to these affordable, healthier foods. They also work to educate resident about how to cook/prepare healthy produce. The donation will provide these cooking demonstrations and sampling opportunities to residents at all stops bi-monthly for a year. For more information, visit iuhealth.org/gardenonthego.
