Indiana University Health Arnett has rescheduled its free surgical weight loss seminar in Monticello. The session for Tuesday, March 5 has been canceled because of the expected winter storm. The seminar is now scheduled for 6 pm, Tuesday, May 7 at Indiana University Health White Memorial Hospital.
The Lafayette-based program began offering laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding surgical weight loss treatment in July to patients dealing with morbid obesity. General surgeon Ruban Nirmalan, MD, leads the effort. Dr. Nirmalan is experienced in the laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgeries.
