This coming June 16th, Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health will host the Sibshops and Young Sibshops workshops. These fun and interactive workshops are for children between the ages of 4-13 who have a brother or sister with a disability. Parents are encouraged to attend the final hour and a half of the Young Sibshops to enjoy lunch with their child and participant for the afternoon activities.
These events give children the opportunity to talk about what it's like to have a sibiling with a disability, whether it be good or bad. Sometimes living with a sibling with a disability can be a stressful situation, and these events are centered around reducing those feelings of anxiety and promoting acceptance and creativity.
There is no registration needed for this event.
