The Face to Face Holiday Party

12/20/2012 | Author: Trish Severns, MA

Christmas was in the air at the Boys and Girls Club of Zionsville on December 15th as patients from the Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health gathered for the annual Face to Face Holiday party.

Children participated in activities and crafts while families enjoyed refreshments and mingled. The party also served as a reunion for our Camp About Face campers, who enjoyed re-connecting from last summer’s camp session. The party culminated in an eagerly-awaited visit from Santa, who led the children in singing Christmas carols and handed out personalized gifts for each child.

Approximately 80 people attended the annual holiday party, which is sponsored by Face to Face, an Indianapolis-based craniofacial resource group headed by Steve and Debby Meneely.

The food and gifts were contributed through the efforts of the women at Saint Alphonsus Church in Zionsville, Indiana.

“The holiday party provides an important opportunity for children and parents to meet outside of the clinic waiting room”, explains Debby Meneely. “It’s nice to see the young adult patients still coming to family events, serving as role models for the younger children.”

Face to Face provides information and networking for craniofacial families across Indiana. To learn more about Face to Face’s activities, please call Debby Meneely at 317.508.7980.
