Compensation Philosophy
Indianan University Health Bloomington Hospital has developed pay policies and procedures in an effort to maintain a fair, competitive, consistent and cost effective pay program. Incoming employees working in pre-determined positions will be offered an experience based pay rate. An experience-based scale details the appropriate pay rate assigned for each year of experience and the maximum number of years of experience allowed. This is a pre-determined, non-negotiable salary calculation.
IU Health Bloomington Hospital provides pay on a bi-weekly basis. Employees are paid every other Thursday, resulting in 26 pays per year. The Hospital requires all employees to have their pay direct deposited to the account(s) of their choice. All pay information is provided through an electronic pay report with secure password protection. Pay stubs are usually available on the Wednesday after the completion of the pay period, through the Employee Portal. The employee’s W-2 is also available through the Employee Portal.
