The Breakaway Cafeteria serves three healthy meals a day to the staff, visitors and patients of Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital and is located on the ground floor of the main campus.
Hours of Operation
- Monday - Friday: 7 am to 7 pm and 1:30 am to 4:30 am
- Saturday - Sunday: 7:30 am - 7 pm and Midnight to 2 am
Guest trays are available, for a cost, to be delivered to patient rooms so family and friends may share meal times with patients. Please ask your nurse for more information.
For patients celebrating a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary, IU Health Bloomington Hospital can make special meal accommodations by sending a small birthday cupcake or pie. Several specialty items are available for more restrictive diets. Please inform our staff of any religious or other diet restrictions you would like to request for your meal preparation. We will accommodate as much as possible as it related to your diet order through your physician.
The Daily Perk:
From 7:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, visitors can enjoy gourmet coffee and other beverages offered at the coffee car located in the main hospital lobby
