  • Naomi Plasky
    Naomi Plasky

    Naomi Plasky (2017-2019) is from Boston and received her MBA, MPH from Johns Hopkins University and her BS in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh.

    Prior to graduate school, Naomi worked full time at Massachusetts General Hospital as the Psychosomatic Medicine Consult Service Manager and Fellowship Coordinator where she redesigned a hospital-wide service.

    During her graduate summer internship she worked in Thailand creating a low cost health insurance designed for their migrant population. Naomi’s professional interests include Behavioral and Mental Health Integration, Data Analytics, Telemedicine, Strategic Planning, and Operations.

    Outside of work, she is an avid sports fan and enjoys traveling, particularly anywhere with a beach.

  • Alexandra Simonton
    Alexandra Simonton

    Alexandra Simonton (2017-2019) is from Carmel, Ind. and received her MHA from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and a B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA.

    During graduate school, Alex participated in a variety of extracurricular activities including serving as President of the MHA Student Association. Throughout graduate school, Alex interned with the Indiana Hospital Association, where she focused on Patient Safety and Quality initiatives to reduce barriers to excellent healthcare delivery in hospitals across the state. Alex also co-managed the IU Student Outreach Clinic, an interprofessional, student-run clinic that delivers free healthcare to an underserved community in Indianapolis. Alex’s professional interests include Operations, Strategic Planning, Population Health, Human Resources, and Customer Experience. 

    Outside of work, Alex is active in several professional organizations and enjoys traveling, reading, and trying different exercise classes in her free time.

  • Farrah Shahin
    Farrah Shahin

    Farrah Shahin (2016-2018) is from Washington, D.C. and received her MHA from the University of Minnesota and her B.S. in Psychology from Valparaiso University.

    While attending Valparaiso University she worked in hospitals abroad in areas such as process improvement and patient flow. At the University of Minnesota, Farrah spent time working as a student consultant at Baldwin Area Medical Center and University of Minnesota Health Nurse Practitioner’s Clinic.

    Farrah completed her summer residency at Children’s Hospital Colorado where she worked on Strategic Planning, Process Improvement, and Certification. Farrah’s professional interests include Strategic Planning and Operations in a pediatric setting along with Population Health Management.

    During her free time, Farrah likes to spend time traveling to new places and attending different concerts.

  • Jake Lazarus
    Jake Lazarus

    Jake Lazarus (2016-2018) is from Deerfield, Ill. and received his MHA from the University of Minnesota and a B.S.B.A. in Healthcare Management and Organizational Behavior from Washington University in St. Louis.

    Throughout his time in school, he spent time interning in several hospitals and health systems, including BJC Healthcare in St. Louis, University of Chicago Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and North Shore Private Hospital in Sydney, Australia during his semester abroad.  During Jake’s MHA program he served as a student consultant for Allina Health and Physicians Neck & Back Center.

    Throughout his internships, Jake has worked in areas such as Perioperative Services, Heart & Vascular, Research Management, Environmental Services, and Strategy & Development.

    Outside of work, he enjoys watching and playing all different sports, finding the most delicious restaurants, and traveling.
