Indiana University Health's leadership model reflects alignment of the mission, values and vision (MVV), strategic direction and shared operating model and culture of our system. Through the strategic planning process, IU Health leadership translates its MVV into strategic direction, and goals are organized by the Five Pillars of Excellence - Quality & Safety, Service, People, Education & Research, Finance & Growth.
Leading to Preeminence
Leading to Preeminence (LTP) is IU Health's leadership approach that aligns the organization's values with prescriptive behaviors and expectations in order to create a common organizational culture of service and operational excellence among employees, volunteers, partners and stakeholders. Our aim is to meet or exceed the needs of patients and customers, both internal and external.
As a leader, you are held accountable for achieving specific goals aligned under the Five Pillars that contribute to this aim. To assist you in meeting those goals, IU Health holds quarterly off-site Leadership Development Institutes for eligible positions to learn new tools, behaviors and strategies that contribute to IU Health's success in meeting this aim.
