Treatment at IU Health
First, a completed IU Health International Patient Form and copy of the patient passport will need to be submitted. We’ll review the most current medical records, in English, along with any scans or tests and let you know if the patient is a candidate for treatment. Then, an International Patient Coordinator will work with the patient, their insurance company and government to secure financial clearance.
Our Expert Team
In addition to our multi-disciplinary team of medical and surgical directors, world-renowned physicians, highly skilled nurses and technicians, we offer concierge nurses and interpreting services. They’ll help to make each patient’s stay more comfortable and help ensure they stay focused on their treatment and recovery.
After Your Operation
Our staff will work with each patient, their in-country primary care physician and their family to help them through the recovery process. We’ll coordinate with their physician about follow-up care to make sure that the treatment is a success. We’ll also provide assistance securing necessary prescriptions that may be needed.
Getting to IU Health
We will provide the necessary documentation to expedite the processing of the patient’s visa to travel to Indianapolis.
