IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Foundation
The Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital Foundation is a 509 (a)(3)/501(c)(3) charitable organization supporting Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital and Indiana University Health Blackford Hospital. Since its founding in 1984, our foundation has provided support to help IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital provide preeminent care to the communities it serves.
Some of our notable accomplishments include:
- In 2000, the foundation was instrumental in helping raise over $8 million to build The Cancer Center at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital. Now over 10 years old, the center has recently been renovated thanks to funding from the IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Foundation.
- In 2011, we provided over $1 million of funding for the Graduate Medical Education program at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, which is the largest teaching program in the state outside of Indianapolis.
- In 2013, thanks to the generous bequest from the Janice B. Fisher estate, IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital will see a new Education and Simulation Center in the lower level of the Edmund F. Ball Medical Education Building.
- Over the next four years, the foundation has committed $20 million to the renovation of the North Tower of IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
The IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Foundation also facilitates community outreach to positively impact the East Central region’s community health. In 2013 through 2015, community outreach will focus on obesity prevention, access to healthcare, smoking cessation, mental health and the improvement of infant health factors.
Your support of the IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Foundation enables the hospital to put patients first through the purchase of new equipment, important health screenings, community outreach, the training of future health professionals and much more.
