Blackford Fund at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Foundation
Indiana University Health Blackford Hospital has provided care to the residents of Hartford City and surrounding communities since it was founded in 1923. IU Health Blackford Hospital is owned by Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital and donations to support IU Health Blackford Hospital are processed through the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital Foundation.
In 2005, IU Health Blackford Hospital opened a new 45,000 square foot facility featuring a 15-bed hospital with all private rooms, an attached medical office building, ambulance garage and helipad. Our new facility is designated by Medicare as a Critical Access Hospital, recognizing the hospital as a necessary provider of services in a rural area.
Recently, thanks to the generosity of our donors, IU Health Blackford Hospital was able to purchase a new EKG machine to enhance cardiac diagnostic testing when time and accuracy are critical. Your support of IU Health Blackford Hospital through a donation to the IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Foundation allows IU Health Blackford Hospital to provide preeminent care for our patients.
