Medical Oncologist
Dr. Suh has received numerous honors and accolades for her research in medical oncology.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University where she graduated with distinction in her major. She earned her medical degree from the prestigious Yale University School of Medicine where she was awarded "Outstanding Woman of the Graduating Class of 2003."
Dr. Suh served an internship in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia before she completed her residency in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Conn., in 2006. She then completed a medical oncology fellowship at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
During her fellowship, Dr. Suh received many honors and awards for her research, including grants from the National Institute of Health, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Association for Cancer Research. She was also recognized by the Texas Society for Clinical Oncology with a fellowship award. She has led her translational research as the principal investigator in projects looking at the role of autophagy in ovarian cancer dormancy.
Dr. Suh has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and several book chapters in clinical and molecular oncology on Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, and molecular mechanisms of cancer. She has also presented her research at national and international conferences for the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society for Cancer Research.
