As a Level II emergency center, the Emergency Department at Indiana University Health Goshen Hospital is ready to serve you and your family with the most advanced care available. Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all our physicians are board certified in emergency medicine, something not commonly found in communities this size. In addition, all nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). This certification allows them to treat respiratory failure, shock, cardiac arrest and irregular heartbeats. Several nurses on staff are also certified sexual assault examiners. Plus, thanks to established relationships with regional trauma centers, critical patient transfers proceed quickly and smoothly, via ambulance or helicopter.
Our Emergency Department features the latest lifesaving technology, including:
- Cardiac monitoring systems.
- Portable imaging equipment.
- Multiple trauma and triage rooms.
- Intermediate care stations.
- High-tech exam rooms.
- State-of-the-art ambulance bay.
- Decontamination room for patients involved in industrial accidents and chemical spills.
