HeartStrings Sisters

HeartStrings Sisters offers a unique kind of support for women with breast cancer. Sponsored by The Retreat Women’s Health Center at Indiana University Health Goshen and IU Health Goshen Center for Cancer Care, the program connects newly diagnosed breast cancer patients to breast cancer survivors.

When a woman is first diagnosed, she is able to speak with a HeartStrings Sister – a breast cancer survivor who understands her needs and emotions. Patients find comfort and strength with their HeartStrings Sister as they share experiences, build support and gain hope.

In addition, the HeartStrings Sisters program funds mammograms for income-eligible, medically underserved women between the ages of 40 and 90.
