One of the reasons Indiana University Health is recognized nationally is because of our commitment to on-going education and professional development. IU Health provides learning opportunities for a wide variety of health care providers through the IU Health Learning Alliance. Educational programs prepare surgical technologists, paramedics, medical technologists and other health sciences professionals, nurses, medical students and physicians to provide preeminent care to patients and families. The Learning Alliance also bolsters employees’ and educators’ skills levels so that professional development continues.
The IU Health Learning Alliance integrates multiple sources of learning for health care providers so they may easily access medical topics across various disciplines. Continuing education courses are offered to nurses, health sciences providers and physicians who are required to continually learn, prove skill competencies and stay abreast of current findings about diagnoses, treatments, patient outcomes, medical ethics, new medical research and more.
