Preceptor Opportunities

Formed in 2009 IU Health Physicians is a multi-specialty group practice offering patient care in a wide range of specialized healthcare settings, including outpatient primary care, acute care environments and telemedicine. IU Health Physicians embraces Best Practice standards and continually evaluates and improves these measures by collecting and sharing objective data, as well as soliciting feedback from providers to help improve the patient experience.

IU Health’s mission is to deliver preeminent medical care and service to our patients and communities through outstanding and innovative medical leadership and practice, while participating in and supporting excellence in education and research. To support the mission we provide preceptors for students in the following programs: Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants.

Prior to beginning a clinical rotation with a preceptor, IU Health Physicians must have an Affiliation Agreement on file with your school.

Please complete the Application for Clinical Rotations and submit following the instructions below. Upon receipt of your application it will be determined if we have an agreement with your school and whether we have a preceptor available that match your need. Submitting an Application for Clinical Rotation does not guarantee a clinical rotation placement. We will do our best to meet the demands of as many students as possible. You will be notified via email if your application is accepted.
