Urology for Pediatric Patients

In this video, Dr. Mark Cain, Professor of Urology and Pediatric Urology at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, talks about detecting and treating urological conditions throughout a patient’s life. Advanced technological methods are used to detect congenital abnormalities (e.g., prenatal hydronephrosis) in neonates and infants, abnormities are surgically corrected in children, and transitional medicine is applied throughout. IU Health conducts outcomes research to better understand how surgical intervention effects recurrent urinary tract infections and kidney damage in patients with urological abnormalities.
