Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital is pleased to announce that Indiana University Health of Indianapolis has been chosen to be the preferred home medical equipment provider to meet the needs of our home medical patients.

IU Health La Porte Hospital has been a Indiana University Health Partner facility for the past several years and through this affiliation will continue to offer patients high quality home medical equipment services.

Indiana University Health Home Care will maintain a satellite operation in La Porte in order to assist the hospital with the expedited discharge for patients requiring home medical services. Indiana University Health Home Care will also accept referrals directly from physician offices.

Patients requiring home care services such as infusion pharmacy, respiratory, and general home-based medical equipment, will now be served through a much larger provider, as Indiana University Health Home Care provides services to a number of communities across the state.

This affiliation will only affect home medical equipment and in-home respiratory services. Patients who currently utilize VNA HomeCare will not experience an interruption or change in service.

Our entire staff is excited about the ability to provide patients with expanded, quality services.
