Who Can Volunteer
We are excited that you have an interest in joining our team as a volunteer. At Indiana University Health, our volunteers are one of our most valued resources. We know from experience that volunteers bring comfort to our patients and families and often aid in the healing process. Indiana University Health Volunteer Services needs caring people like you.
Types of Volunteers
Anyone 18 years of age or older, is eligible to apply to become a core volunteer at IU Health. We ask that core volunteers give a minimum commitment of at least 33 hours. We are proud to say, however, that we have hundreds of volunteers who have surpassed this minimum commitment. Some have even been volunteers for 10-20 years.
IU Health Staff Volunteers
While working full- and part-time jobs throughout IU Health, some staff members also give of their time as a volunteer. These individuals are a big part in helping us develop a corporate culture of caring and service.
If you are an IU Health employee and would like to volunteer, please visit any IU Health Hospital Volunteer Services office for an application.
Service Project Volunteers
The service project program is a great opportunity for schools, neighborhoods, faith-based groups or a group of friends to volunteer. These are behind-the-scenes opportunities, but they are extremely important to the success of our hospitals. Contact our office today at 317.944.SERV to learn how you can help.
