Our certified therapists are a key resource for patients who need assistance learning the activities of daily living, developing hobbies and other social outlets and adjusting to a disease or disability. While many of the clients with whom our occupational therapists work are older adults, some are parents or caregivers of children and adolescents.
Our therapists specialize in mental health issues and provide a variety of treatments and therapies, including the following:
- Teaching patients the activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Exploring enjoyable leisure activities and vocational with patients
- Educating patients about available resources and support services
- Assisting patients with developing positive and effective coping strategies and problem-solving skills
- Providing activities that promote self-expression

Teaching patients how to compensate for cognitive or sensimotor deficits, how to conserve energy and relax, body mechanics and home exercises
