Omega 3-fatty acids block TNF-induced sphingomyelin-mediated signal transduction pathway in isolated cardiomyocytes
The goal of this research was to show that omega 3-fatty acid incorporation into cellular membranes results in the shifting of TNF receptors and sphingomyelinase from lipid raft (detergent-resistant) to non-lipid raft (detergent soluble) regions.
