Internal Medicine
Your Physician's First Choice
A hospitalist (internal medicine physician) is the person your own doctor would call for help. In fact, hospitalists are sometimes called "the doctor's doctors" because of their exceptional ability to provde comprehensive medical care. At IU Health Methodist Hospital, our board-certified hospitalists offer focused inpatient care that begins with education and continues beyond diagnosis and treatment.
Experience Counts
The multi-specialty team at IU Health Methodist Hospital has extensive training solving difficult diagnoses and caring for adults with a range of illnesses, from simple to severe, both common and rare. Our experienced hospitalists collaborate to solve complex diagnostic issues and treat patients experiencing chronic illness or multiple illnesses at the same time. We address the needs of every patient, collaborating with physicians in other specialties to provide coordinated services with a care plan as individual as the patient.
Whole Body Care
Hospitalists understand the unique needs of a hospitalized patient. As an advanced hospital practice within a tertiary care hospital, IU Health Methodist Hospital provides a full range of services for all adults, including outpatient services for sports medicine and women’s health and specialty services in geriatrics (care for the elderly), cardiology, neurology, reheumatology and more.
