The new IU Health Neuroscience Center—located just south of IU Health Methodist Hospital—is a premier center that combines the comprehensive neurological services of IU Health into a single facility. The result is a more integrated and well-coordinated approach to your care.

All adult neurosurgeries will be performed in the recently expanded neurosurgical suites at IU Health Methodist Hospital. Here, neurosurgeons use the most advanced imaging technologies, and surgical navigation systems and tools to treat all types brain and spinal conditions. EEG diagnostic services will also continue to be provided at IU Health Methodist Hospital.

Blue Distinction Center Designation

Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital was designated as a Blue Distinction Center by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in the area of spine surgery in 2012. Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) awards Blue Distinction® recognition to facilities which meet objective, evidence-based thresholds for clinical quality in collaboration with expert physicians and medical organizations.
