Our Team

As a transplant patient at IU Health Methodist Hospital, many people work to make your transplant surgery as successful as possible. We call them your transplant team. They work in collaboration to ensure your comprehensive needs are fulfilled. The team includes:

  • Specially trained coordinators and nurses to provide patients with compassionate, quality care during all aspects of treatment.
  • Social workers, chaplains, psychiatrists and psychologists to assist patients and families with emotional, social and psychiatric needs.
  • Dietitians, pharmacists, physical therapists and occupational therapist to aid on the road to recovery.

At IU Health Methodist Hospital, the transplant team works in a dedicated inpatient area. Post transplant, every patient receives specialized care to help them get back to a normal, healthy life. This dedicated area allows patients and nurses to build close relationships, creating a nurturing environment for recovery.

IU Health Transplant is the most comprehensive center of its kind in the region. Our connection to the IU School of Medicine combines clinical expertise, research and teaching excellence with the experienced teams at IU Health Methodist Hospital, IU Health University Hospital and Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.
