Indiana University Health Morgan Hospital's Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). This accreditation required an intensive, on-site assessment by specially trained assessors and establishes the level of medical, technical and administrative performance within the facility. This meets or exceeds the standards set by CAP.

IU Health Morgan Hospital also follows the AABB standards for blood banking, transfusion medicine, blood management and cellular therapies. It demonstrates IUHMC’s commitment to advanced learning, continuous improvement and innovation by striving to sustain the highest possible level of patient and donor care.

The Commissions on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) is designated to examine all of the laboratory’s processes including records, procedures, quality control, quality improvement initiatives, safety programs, facilities, and overall management of the laboratory. This stringent inspection program is designed to specifically assure the highest standard of care for the laboratory’s patients.
