Free program aims to reduce risk of Type 2 diabetes in kids

Indiana University Health Goshen offers a program for families with kids ages 7-11 who may be at risk for Type 2 diabetes, including those who are overweight or have a family history of diabetes. The “Fit Together” program involves six sessions that introduce fun, physical activities and nutrition lessons to help guide families toward healthy lifestyle changes.
“Fit Together” runs every other Monday this winter, beginning on January 14 and ending on March 25. It runs again in the summer, beginning June 13. The program is free and open to the public, and space is limited.
