An IU Health Arnett Hospital Release

Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital was named among the state’s top hospitals in U.S. News & World Report 2017-18 rankings released Tuesday.

The Lafayette hospital was ranked among "Best Hospitals" and "Best Hospitals for Common Care," according to a release.

IU Health Arnett Hospital, part of the Indiana University Health System, tied as the No. 6 ranked regional hospital in Indiana. Indiana University Health is the No. 1 ranked health system in Indiana, according to the U.S. News rankings.

“What a great honor to continue to move up in regional hospital rankings,” Donald Clayton, MD, president of IU Health Arnett, said. “Our patients and community can continue to be assured that we are here to provide highly skilled, destination health care.”

Again this year, IU Health Arnett Hospital also received high ratings in four adult procedures/conditions included in the U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals for Common Care ratings. These included hip replacement, colon cancer surgery, heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

For its Best Hospitals rankings, U.S. News evaluates nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide. More than 160 Indiana hospitals were evaluated. IU Health Arnett Hospital is recognized in the Central Region.
