IU Health Arnett welcomes a Lean Black Belt

Indiana University Health Arnett is pleased to announce John Anderson has joined the organization as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

John has over 18 years of continuous improvement experience in automotive, aerospace and consumer goods manufacturing.  He is certified in both Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies with practical applications in operational and transactional environments. He currently holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an AS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Ball State University and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Technology Innovation from Purdue University. John hopes to improve patient care and satisfaction by coaching and applying the Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to create more uniform processes and minimize waste.

IU Health Arnett uses Lean methodologies to improve patient experience while reducing waste. The goals of Lean are to provide exactly what the customer needs or wants while cutting out unnecessary steps in everyday processes, managing resources to reduce cost and striving to improve quality. Lean concepts benefit patients by speeding up processes, cutting costs and increasing safety.
