Lafayette, IN—Indiana University Health Arnett is pleased to announce that Joel B. McCuaig, MD, FACOG has joined our Gynecology department.
Dr. McCuaig received his medical degree and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. McCuaig is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics/Gynecology and accredited by the American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery.
He has practiced in the Lafayette community since 1991. Dr. McCuaig is passionate about offering his patients the latest innovations in surgical treatment options. He has completed the most cases in the community on the da Vinci surgical system, a robotic-assisted surgery which results in less pain, reduced risk of infection, minimal scarring and a quicker recovery time. Dr. McCuaig utilizes the da Vinci surgical system for treatment of gynecological issues, including endometriosis; removal of ovarian masses, the ovaries or uterus; post menopausal bleeding; and endometrial cancer.
In addition to minimally invasive surgical options, Dr. McCuaig offers a full-range of contraception services including office-based tubal ligations and insertion of IUDs.
Dr. McCuaig will continue to practice from his current location at 904 South Street and will offer the same gynecological services. He will retain his current office number. Patients can schedule with Dr. McCuaig by calling 765.742.2441.
As part of Indiana University Health, Dr. McCuaig’s patients will benefit from an integrated healthcare delivery system delivered by the state’s only nationally-recognized healthcare system. Through the use of electronic medical records, physicians across the system can access and edit the same record, leading to more consistent health information and smoother transitions between primary care physicians and specialists. Furthermore, through IU Health’s relationship with IU School of Medicine, patients will gain access to the latest innovations and treatment options.
