IU Health La Porte, Starke hospitals offer free prostate cancer screenings in La Porte, North Judson

La Porte, IN – Indiana University Health La Porte and Starke hospitals offer a free prostate cancer screening on Saturday, September 22 from 8 am to 11 am (Central time).

The screening is offered at two convenient locations in La Porte and North Judson. Pre-registration is required. To schedule in La Porte, call 219.326.2073. To schedule in North Judson, call 574.896.5533.

Prostate screenings are recommended annually for men age 40 and older. The screening includes a PSA (prostate specific antigen) blood test and a rectal exam. The screening is not intended for men diagnosed with prostate cancer and is not intended to replace an annual physical.

The screening is made possible through funding provided by the La Porte Hospital Foundation, the philanthropic arm of IU Health La Porte Hospital and fiscal manager of the Starke Health Fund.
