IU Health Plans Welcomes New President

Jim Parker has joined Indiana University Health Plans as its new president.
Parker brings to this role more than 20 years of executive leadership experience, much of it with Anthem, Inc. and WellPoint, Inc., where he led a number of business units and corporate functions.
Most recently, Jim served as president of Health Market Strategies, a firm he founded that partners with emerging healthcare firms to achieve growth and industry differentiation.
Parker holds an undergraduate degree in economics and political science from Kenyon College and a master’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University. He also is a Fellow to Foundation for HealthSMART Consumers, an organization dedicated to activating healthcare consumers by informing them about the evolving landscape for individual health responsibility and care accountability.
