—BLOOMINGTON, IND. (April 4, 2016) — Indiana University Health Southern Indiana Physicians is adding to its team of experts. Beginning May 2, seven highly experienced, local cardiologists will join the IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians team and begin seeing patients.
Existing and new cardiology patients are welcome to pre-register for services by calling 812-676-4144. The IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians Cardiology team will help with the transfer of medical records.

The seven cardiologists will be seeing patients at multiple locations in Bloomington and will also see patients in Lawrence and Orange Counties at IU Health Visiting Specialist offices.
The IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians Cardiology team includes three interventional cardiologists, two general cardiologists, an electrophysiologist, a heart failure specialist, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and dedicated office team members. This team of heart experts already works closely with Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital and many other IU Health teams across south central Indiana to ensure south central communities have access to a full continuum of the highest quality heart care.
IU Health Southern Indiana cardiology teams provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for all conditions affecting the heart and vascular system, including atherosclerosis (a buildup in the arteries), coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease and more. In addition, they provide life-saving heart care, diagnostic testing, pacemaker and defibrillator implementation and management, leading edge treatments for heart attack, heart disease, stroke and other conditions that affect the circulatory system.
