Nov. 16 is World COPD Day – Free Screening Offered

—Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is an umbrella term used to describe progressive lung diseases including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, refractory (non-reversible) asthma and some forms of bronchiectasis. IU Health will be offering free public screenings for COPD in the atriums of IU Health North, IU Health Tipton and IU Health Saxony from 10am – 2pm on Nov. 16.
The screenings are beneficial to anyone with a pulmonary condition. All who participate will be given a copy of their results to share with their physician. Walk-ins are encouraged.
