An IU Health West Hospital Release
—*** UPDATE: May 9, 2016 ***
Due to continuing wet conditions today and (once again!) rain forecast for much of this week, the closure of the hospital's Ronald Reagan Parkway entrance has been pushed back to Friday, May 13, at the earliest. Thank you for your patience.
*** UPDATE: May 2, 2016 ***
Due to the current wet condtions and rain forecast for much of this week, the closure of the hospital's Ronald Reagan Parkway entrance has been pushed back to Monday, May 9, at the earliest.
Work to continue expansion and improvement of Ronald Reagan Parkway is underway. Please be aware that this work will impact access to the hospital campus for patients, visitors and team members who typically use the Parkway and the hospital’s west entrance (near the Professional Office Center buildings).
Beginning on or around May 2, the west driveway entrance off of the Ronald Reagan Parkway will be closed. The closure is expected to last three to four (3 – 4) weeks. Please plan to use the main entrance (off of West 10th St./County Road 100 North), or the east entrance (off of County Road 1050) as alternate routes to access hospital parking and reach your hospital destination.
In addition to this imminent closure, the Town of Avon plans a series of closures along the Parkway at CR 200 N (West 21st St.) and CR 300 N from May to September. The current schedule is as follows:
- CR 200 North – EAST SIDE OF INTERSECTION
The east side of the CR 200 North/Ronald Reagan Parkway intersection will be closed from mid-May to mid-June (28 days). Ronald Reagan Parkway will remain open, and may be accessed from the west side of CR 200 N during this time.
- CR 300 North
Complete closure. The road will be closed from mid-June to mid-August (75 days).
- CR 200 N – WEST SIDE OF INTERSECTION
The west side of the CR 200 North/Ronald Reagan Parkway intersection will be closed in September (28 days). Ronald Reagan Parkway will remain open, and may be accessed from the east side of CR 200 N during this time.
We will provide updates about any significant changes to this timeline as they become available from the Town of Avon and its contractor. A construction map is available to help show what will be closed, and when. It will be updated as needed.
