Safe Sitter Courses Offered this Summer

An IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Release


MUNCIE--Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital will host a series of two-day Safe Sitter courses for children ages 11-13 beginning 8:30 am-3:30 pm Monday and Tuesday, June 10-11 in its Outpatient Medical Pavilion. The courses will also be offered on the following dates during summer vacation:

• Monday-Tuesday, June 10-11
• Tuesday-Wednesday, June 25-26
• Tuesday-Wednesday, July 9-10
• Tuesday-Wednesday, July 16-17
• Tuesday-Wednesday, July 30-31

The class will familiarize participants with responsibilities of caring for young children, including topics of accident prevention, first aid, rescue breathing, entertainment for different ages, dealing with common behavior problems, and common “do’s and don’ts.”  Parents are encouraged to attend a 30-minute graduation ceremony on the final day.
