Safe Sitter training offered over Christmas break

HARTFORD CITY – A Safe Sitter class for children ages 11-13, will be offered at IU Health Blackford Hospital 8 am-4 pm, Thursday December 29.
The Safe Sitter class is a medically accurate program that teaches how to handle emergencies when caring for children. The class will cover safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills, and appropriate responses to medical emergencies. Participants must be 11 years old by the class date.
Cost is $25 and covers the cost of supplies. Scholarships are available for qualified students. Participants should bring a sack lunch and money for something to drink. A snack will be provided.
