An IU Health Arnett Hospital Release

Satellite Healthcare and Indiana University Health Arnett health care system today announced the Satellite WellBound of Lafayette dialysis center received a five-star rating, as indicated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Five-Star Quality Rating System, making it the only five-star dialysis center in the Greater Lafayette, Indiana area. Satellite Healthcare and IU Health Arnett are proud partners in patient care as joint venture partners at Satellite WellBound of Lafayette. The distinction is achieved by consistently meeting a number of quality outcomes reported to CMS and Satellite’s dedicated mission to make life better for people living with kidney disease.

“Out of the eight dialysis centers in our area, we’re honored to receive the highest rating from CMS by meeting its high standards of quality of care,” said Dr. Rabih Kalakeche, medical director of IU Health Arnett Nephrology. “Our team at Satellite WellBound of Lafayette is dedicated to providing excellent patient care, and improving quality of life for all patients living with kidney disease and going through dialysis treatments.”

In late 2016, Satellite Healthcare announced that it leads the industry with the highest percentage of top-rated dialysis centers among the 10 largest national dialysis providers. Nearly 64 percent of Satellite Healthcare dialysis centers were given a rating of four or five stars. In addition, Satellite’s five-star ratings increased 100 percent from the previous year.

Satellite WellBound of Lafayette is a dialysis center for Greater Lafayette Area patients where they can receive personalized communication, care and training to perform dialysis treatments at home. Satellite Healthcare currently more than doubles the national average with 20 percent of its patients on home dialysis.
