—La Porte, Ind. - The community is invited to Show Us Your Heart by entering artwork in a creative exhibit that will ultimately end up decorating the walls of cardiology offices at IU Health La Porte Hospital and throughout the community. Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital's Cardiovascular Services created the Show Us Your Heart art exhibit project to celebrate National Heart Month, and is inviting area artists to submit meaningful artwork related to the heart as part of the exhibit.

Anyone is eligible to submit artwork regardless of age. Submissions can be drawings, paintings, or other mediums that meet the size requirements on the entry form. Submissions will not be returned, and many will be selected to be on permanent display in heart care offices and testing areas.

The exhibit project was inspired by the daughter of cardiovasular intenstive care unit manager Danielle Combs, whose daughter created an exquisite, detailed color piece of art that Combs hung on her office wall. As the artwork garnered more attention from hospital colleagues, the idea for Show Us Your Heart was born.

The goal is to help showcase the relevant heart art work or our community so it can be enjoyed by all.

Submissions may be dropped off to the IU Health La Porte Hospital Cardiovascular Department (1st Floor) between January 25-29, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Official rules, including size requirements, can be found on the entry form.
