If you call IU Health to schedule an appointment or visit an IU Health facility, we will ask if you have travelled outside of the country in the past 21 days. We are asking this question to help protect our patients and team members, given the recent cases of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) that have emerged elsewhere in the United States. This is just one of the many steps that we are taking to protect our patients, their families, our healthcare providers and the community at large. Thank you for trusting us with your care.
To prevent the spread of respiratory viral activity and for the safety of our young patients, we are currently limiting visitors on the following units: Pediatrics/Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum
We are not allowing anyone under 18 to visit the units identified above.
While children will still be allowed in the building and waiting rooms, to best protect their health, we recommend that parents/guardians NOT bring children with them when visiting.
We are not allowing visitors (on the units identified above) who have had the following symptoms within the past 7 days:
- Runny nose
- Body aches
- Other signs of infection
