Chronic Reflux Seminar

Join Dr. Selzer to learn about a new treatment available only at IU Health North Hospital.

LINX Reflux Management System:
In people with reflux, the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) is weak, allowing acid and bile to reflux from the stomach into the esophagus. The LINX device, a small implant comprised of interlinked titanium beads with magnetic cores, is placed around the LES to help it maintain a closed position when challenged by reflux. Swallowing forces temporarily break the bond allowing food and liquid to pass normally into the stomach. This laparoscopic procedure is generally completed in less than one hour.
