Indiana University Health North Hospital is pleased to offer several support opportunities for new parents. Our support groups cover a wide range of topics including breastfeeding, postpartum depression and raising a toddler. Additionally, we offer groups for new dads and mothers looking to share advice with one another. Our support groups meet weekly and are complimentary (free). Participants are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as they would like. All support groups meet on the first floor of IU Health North Hospital. Please ask for directions at the Welcome Desk.
Breastfeeding Support Group
Meets every Thursday morning from 10:00 am – 11:15 am, on the first floor of the hospital.
This group provides a great opportunity to meet other breastfeeding mothers who have invaluable information and support to share. Lactation consultants will be present, though the support group is not intended for one-on-one sessions. Meetings are geared toward mothers of babies who are 0-4 months old. Lactation Outpatient Clinic
Lactation consultants are available to meet with you for lactation needs and newborn feeding issues. Please call 317.688.2680 to schedule an appointment. The Indiana University Health North Hospital's Lactation Outpatient Clinic is located on the fourth floor of the hospital. We look forward to serving you!
Mother Connection Support Group
Meets most Tuesdays, 12:30 pm - 2:00pm. Call 317.688.2465 before your first visit to confirm that group is meeting onsite.
This unique opportunity is for postpartum mothers and their babies, from newborns up to one year of age. You will meet with a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to discuss topics of interest to mothers of young babies and have fun meeting other mothers. Different topics are discussed at each meeting. There is no cost to participate and advance registration is not required. Participants are welcome to attend as many or as few meetings as they would like. Postpartum Depression Support Group

Did you know that perinatal mood and anxiety disorders affect one out of seven women? This group is for pregnant and postpartum moms struggling with emotional changes. You are not alone. This is a support group for parents and toddlers (ages one to three years). This gives mothers the opportunity to meet other moms and discuss topics relating to raising a happy and healthy toddler. Discuss topics such as potty pitfalls with a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner while you meet other moms.
