Parenting Support
For Patients
Indiana University Health North Hospital is pleased to offer several support opportunities for new parents. Our support groups cover a wide range of topics including breastfeeding, postpartum depression and raising a toddler. Additionally, we offer groups for new dads and mothers looking to share advice with one another. There is no cost to participate. Participants are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as they would like.
Breastfeeding Support Group
Every Thursday, 10 - 11:15 am
First Floor
A great opportunity to meet other breastfeeding mothers who have invaluable information and support to share. One-on-one lactation support is also available. No reservations are needed. Siblings welcomed and snacks will be provided. Attend meetings as long as desired. Attendees should meet at the Welcome Desk, located in IU Health North Hospital's Grand Atrium, to be directed to the meeting room.
Lactation Outpatient Clinic
Lactation consultants are available to meet with you for lactation needs and newborn feeding issues. Please call 317.688.2680 to schedule an appointment. The IU Health North Hospital's Lactation Outpatient Clinic is located on the fourth floor of the hospital. We look forward to serving you!
Mother Connection Support Group
Every Tuesday, 12:30 pm - 2 pm
First Floor
This unique opportunity is for postpartum mothers and their babies from newborns up to one-year-old. Different topics are discussed at each meeting. There is no cost to participate, and advance registration is not required. Participants are welcome to attend as many or as few meetings as they would like. Attendees should meet at the Welcome Desk, located in IU Health North Hospital's Grand Atrium, to be directed to the meeting room.

Postpartum Depression Support Group
Every Monday, 10 am - 12 pm
Room C400 - Fourth Floor
Did you know that Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders affect one out of seven women? This group is for pregnant and postpartum moms struggling with emotional changes. You are not alone. You are not to blame. With treatment, you will be well.

Toddler Time
Every Tuesday, 10 am - 11:30 am
First Floor
A support group for mothers and toddlers (ages 1 to 3 years). This gives mothers the opportunity to meet other moms and discuss topics relating to raising a happy and healthy toddler. Attendees should meet at the Welcome Desk, located in IU Health North Hospital's Grand Atrium, to be directed to the meeting room.
