da Vinci Surgical System

IU Health North Hospital currently offers the da Vinci® Surgical System, a robotic surgical system that places a computer between the hands of your surgeon and the tips of micro instruments.

It combines superior 3D visualization along with greatly enhanced dexterity, precision and control. The platform technology is designed to enable complex procedures of all types to be performed through tiny incisions. It replicates the surgeon’s movements in real time, but cannot be programmed to perform surgical maneuvers independently.

The da Vinci is currently used for general, gynecological, urological, and bariatric surgical procedures at IU Health North Hospital.
