La Porte Hospital

IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for both the total knee and total hip replacement programs. This seal of approval is based on compliance with consensus-based national standards, effective use of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and an organized approach to performance measurement and improvement activities.

Central Region

For immediate and trauma care needs, central Indiana provides orthopedic care at every level. Patients in need of same day availability may call 317.944.9400 between 8 am – 3 pm, and we will schedule an appointment with a physician at a location closest to you. In downtown Indianapolis, IU Health Methodist Hospital offers a Level 1 Trauma Center for critical care and orthopedic-trauma.

Saxony Hospital

An orthopedic and cardiovascular specialty hospital, IU Health Saxony Hospital has the qualified experts and facilities for every level of joint replacement care.


IU Health Saxony Hospital partners with the academic health center to host Indiana’s only joint replacement fellowship. We take a team approach to orthopedic care in order to ensure patients get the best care possible.


Our team cares for all musculoskeletal problems and specializes in joint replacement.


Four orthopedic surgery suites are equipped with the latest technology. This includes infrared camera technology and unique tracking software to continually monitor and position components during surgery.

IU Health Bloomington Hospital

Newly remodeled, the IU Health Bloomington Hospital Orthopedics & Neuroscience Unit features private rooms, a gym and a dedicated team of nurses and caregivers.
